Night Walking

A big earthquake occurred in northern Japan, and Tokyo rolled as if we are on a big ship.
All trains stop. So we must go home on foot.

oh my. This reminds me of 9/11, when everyone walked home.

This must have been scary, no? Did you walk home?
How are people feeling there?

I have a Japanese coworker and her family is in Tokyo. She is concerned about the radiation.

We are thinking of you all in New York.

Thank you, Kitty.

I walked for 4 hours. People seemed calm, but walking unfamiliar road in night may be uneasy time for ladies who walked alone.

Despite severe damage in Northeastern Japan, Tokyo is slightly injured. We have known it occurs periodically. It's not 9/11. So, don't worry.

Today, the environmental radioactivity level is normal.
For your Japanese coworker, here is the official report.
